“wall of coins +zcash price”

I will go through start to finish on how to set up a Zcash miner on Ubuntu. This is because if you are mining with an Nvidia Graphics card the windows drivers are a little wonky so you will be limiting your hashrate. For me I have 2 GTX 980ti’s in my gaming computer. When I mine Ethereum on windows I get around 5 Mh/s and when I mine on Ubuntu I get 40 Mh/s. For those of you with gaming computers this can be a nice passive source of income while you aren’t playing games. Also AMD GPUs tend to be better at mining Ethereum, but Nvidia GPUs are better at mining Zcash. So if you have an Nvidia GPU I would suggest to mine Zcash. I do. If you have AMD GPU’s I would suggest looking at this guide here.

In either case it continues like this indefinitely, seemingly without getting any real work done. EWBF and dstm miners have been working fine both with and without VPN. I’m using a GTX 1070 on Windows 10. Please advise.

Building a large ZEC position through now may allow you to take advantage of price appreciation in the future with less risk than you’d face by just buying ZEC. Let’s break this idea down a bit further.

There is a new miner for Nvidia CUDA GPUs available for mining Zcash (ZEC) promising a slightly faster hashrate than the currently fastest implementation of the NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA miner. The most important thing about this new miner is that it is not limited to only mining on NiceHash, so even with the same speed it is still a nice thing to have as it supports Stratum mining on other mining pools besides NiceHash (it does seem to support NiceHash’s Extranonce Subscribe as well). According to the author of the miner it is designed for Nvidia Pascal GPUs, but should work on older Compute 3.0 or higher Nvidia GPUs with at least 1 GB of video memory. Do note that the miner is not open source and there is only a Windows 64-bit binary release available at the moment, it does not seem to be based on other popular codebase and is not being reported as malicious software by antivirus products. You might still want to have something in mind as the user that posted it on Bitcointalk is a new account and not an established miner developer, even though it seems that the miner does work pretty well.

I really like using EthOS over simple mining cause you can actually somewhat use LXDE as an operating system. The problem with EthOS is the limited number of mining programs you can run and the limited amount of packages you can install (instead of apt-get you have to use apt-get-ubuntu and about 90% of packages won’t download or install, and if they do you might have broken EthOS.)

Bminer is a relatively new miner for Nvidia GPUs for mining cryptocurrencies using the Equihash algorithm such as Zcash (ZEC). It is a closed source miner, available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and comes with a 2% dev fee included (optional, though disabling it apparently removes some optimizations). Bminer comes as an alternative to the popular EWBF miner, the development of which has been stalled for a while already, as well as the more recent dstm ZCash CUDA Miner that looks promising and is actively being developed, but still lacks some features such as failover pool support for example. So any new alternatives such as Bminer that are being actively improved and developed are more than welcome for the users and the crypto community as well.

Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 437,207 KH/s and using a ZEC – USD exchange rate of 1 ZEC = $ 243.51. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ZEC to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 10 ZEC and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.

We are proud to offer the most bleeding edge software technology to share with our fellow miners and it is a privilege and honor to receive so much support. Thank you to all of our friends, developers and colleagues that share in making PiMP such a success!

It is no secret that AMD holds a solid leadership position in the world of cryptocurrency mining. For many of our readers, NVIDIA GPUs have a good mix of gaming and deep learning training capabilities. After our extremely popular Monero mining series, which works well on AMD GPUs and Intel/ AMD CPUs, we started looking for a cryptocurrency mining application for NVIDIA GPUs. We re-discovered Zcash mining.

Linux users would probably want to go and try the  latest version of the Silentarmy miner that also brought support for Nvidia GPUs and is apparently providing similar performance as the NiceHash release for Windows. Also the Silentarmy miner is doing pretty well on AMD hardware, so do try it as well if you have such mining rigs and are running them on Linux.

In the miner window it reports higher hashrates for 1060 3GB, approximately 20 sols/s more compared compared to ewbf or 10 sol/s more compared dstm miner. Now it needs to be tested if hashrate on the pool is as high as reported.

Please keep this in mind before you assume that this is profitable and buy hardware. If you were mining in December 2016 assuming a $90-100 price, by January 2017 to early March 2017 your Zcash stash was worth 1/2 to 1/3rd.

Next, copy your Zcash wallet address. Inside the bat file paste your own Zcash address (in the example above replace the address that starts with “t” and ends with “DX”). After replacing the address you can also change the worker name. In this case it’s .rig1, but you can call it .miningRig1 for example.

Click on the Advanced tab and click “Change” under Virtual Memory. Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file”. Click the radio button for Custom Size and enter 16384 for the Initial size and Maximum size. Then click OK, Apply, OK.

Similar to the Claymore miner (which does not currently support Zcash mining under Windows), the EWBF miner contains a 2% developer fee which can be turned off in the batch file. It is noted in the thread that disabling the fee will slightly reduce hashing power, similar to that same behavior with Claymore’s miner.

I don’t fully understand your question. Only the machine running the zcash4win program will do that actual mining, using its system resources. However, you can have a Zcash wallet on any machine and the mining rewards can be sent to that wallet. So you can have one machine doing the work of mining and any other machine to receive the Zcash which is mined. Hope that helps.

According to its developers and most users that have tried the Bminer already it is the fastest publicly available Equihash miner for Nvidia GPUs and we can confirm that our initial impressions are showing a better local hashrate compared to the alternatives mentioned. So if you have a Compute Capability 5.0 or newer Nvidia GPU used for mining you might want to give Bminer a go and see if it will work better for you. The miner does come with SSL support as well as Nicehash support, has some interesting extra features, though it is still very easy to use. There is also an API and a web-based interface available for monitoring of your mining rigs that can be quite useful, go and give it a try and report your results.

For this test, we are using the EWBF 0.3.3b miner. We are comparing all of the GTX series GPUs in terms of mining performance as well as power consumption. For the NVIDIA GTX 1070, GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti we have both Founder’s Edition and overclocked variants. We did not test the GTX 1050 (2GB) and GTX 1060 (3GB) variants because they have significantly lower value for gaming and machine learning. We are assuming these GPUs are not dedicated miners and instead Zcash mining is something to utilize hardware while it is idle/ offset costs.

Below is an example of a batch file that we use on one of our Windows-based mining rigs. Everything is contained in a single line in the .bat file. That single line specifies the program to be run (miner) and a few settings that customize the miner’s activity. Finally, and most importantly, one of Zcash wallet addresses is specified so mined Zcash goes to the right place. Here’s the .bat file that we are currently using to start mining. Scroll to see all of it’s contents if necessary.

The biggest limitation of the official Zcash software is that it only takes advantage of your CPU to mine. If you have decided to build a dedicated GPU rig for mining the basic software will not be enough, you will need to decide on software that has been optimized to take advantage of your GPU’s.

Sapphire R9 Fury Tri-X 460 -i 7 1025 500 15.12 165W Vcore set to 1.107V + vdrop 6×6.25mV = 1.071-1.075V real voltage. T-mod memory(400Mhz strap) – 0.5% gain. 3840 SP unlock(+20-30Sol\s). However, if you have Nvidia cards, or if you’re in the market to buy new cards and can’t find any well-priced AMD cards, then mining Zcash on Nvidia GPUs is still very profitable with the EWBF Miner, which is highly optimized to get the maximum performance out of Nvidia’s Cuda cores. How much can be earned depending on hash rate? DO you have to use Ubuntu. I have windows 10 and two GPUs on an Aorus X7 Pro which comes with an Nvidia graphics card. I was trying to mine ETH and I found it to be very taxing on my computer and due to the fact I had Windows 10, there was a bottleneck issue where it mines at a slower hash rate than it would if I used Windows 7. Does the same apply to Zcash? Does this sound familiar? I’ve done a search here and no one is talking about Bminer a new Equihash miner released last month. from gpumining I started with EBWF then I discovered DSTM which was the tits with the higher hashrate but it was fairly unstable if I tried to adjust the vid cards through MSI AB giving me hard freezes or bsods. Sometimes they happened a short while after I walked away after adjusting a setting to give it time to settle. Sometimes hours later. I saw this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271.320 and tried it out. Using the exact same stable msi AB settings I… Read more » The takeaway here is that the hashrate has followed the price explosion, which really took off in May and June 2017. What an amazing bull run! Up to over $400 USD from under $50 USD in a few short months. Run and verify that the software is mining correctly. After several minutes check your pool for statistics (should see some shares appearing), and after minimum payout level is reached (could be days with one or two cards) check your wallet or exchange to confirm payment was sent by the pool and properly received. Another cloud mining service provider that has been available for quite some time already as well – HashFlare has also announced their plans for offering cloud mining hashrate for Zcash (ZEC). They have already started the presale of mining contracts with a price of 4.20 USD per 0.1 H/s with the launch of mining planned to start before 21.11.16, so you will be able to catch some of the slow start mining period as well. Each of their Zcash cloud mining contracts will last for 1 year (from activation) and will not have any additional fees as everything is apparently included in the price. For perspective, I run several of the Gigabyte “ITX” one-fan GTX 1070 model cards on Folding@Home – which pushes a card quite a bit harder than ZCash mining does – and they stay plenty cool as long as the ambient temperature doesn’t get very high. We wanted to investigate whether buying overclocked cards was worth it for mining. If you are buying these cards and using them out of the box in Linux (for machine learning) then you do not have access to the nice Windows overclocking tools. Also, crypto mining generates 24×7 load so some of the aftermarket cooling solutions on the overclocked cards can be extremely advantageous. One other point to note is that larger cards like the ASUS STRIX models have PCB and coolers that rise well beyond the PCIe slots. That should be a consideration if you are thinking about these systems in rackmount enclosures. Incentivizing the creation of open source miners will enable a wider community to mine for Zcash coins and take ownership of the network as a public good. While we expect a full range in size of Zcash miners to exist, the more individuals who run a miner (whether GPU or CPU) the stronger the network. This article needs to be proofread. There are multiple spelling errors and incorrect word usage, such as “This is because the Claymore miner is faster but only works for CPU.”. Claymore miner is faster for GPU, not CPU.

Ah, I see. Malware seem to be a huge problem on this forum. I took a look for a description to setup a VM quickly. It seems it not that easy. PCI/GPU-Passthrough seems to be very hardware dependent – not that easy to setup. I’ve really no good idea how to provide security for you, without opening the source. Well I guess someone has to try it out and report. Sry, but I have no better ideas for this.

I think I will end this guide at this point for now as it is getting to be quite long. While I originally intended to cover fine tuning and going over other optional arguments that the EWBF miner can use, I think I will wait and make this a two part guide. For now this Part 1 covers the basic setup and configuration of getting the EWBF miner running and shares being submitted to a pool. Since it will usually take some time before reaching a pools minimal payout period anyway, especially for just one or two cards, we have some time.

Replace “eu” for your mining pool address found on the pool “Get Started” page, “ZEC-ADDRESS” for your zcash wallet address (transparent address) and lastly replace “-t 8” for the number of threads you want to use. (If you’re using the Nicehash pool, you can use -l to specify your location like “eu” for Europe)

Zcash offers total payment confidentiality, while still maintaining a decentralized network using a public blockchain. Unlike Bitcoin, Zcash’s private transactions hide the sender, recipient, and value of transactions on the blockchain. Only those with the correct view key can see the contents. Users have complete control can opt-in to provide others with their view key at their discretion.

Ethereum value does fluctuate like many similar currencies but at it’s current value a return on investment in a few months is very likely . This is not guaranteed as I have no control over the value of Ethereum however it is showing great promise as many major institutions are investing.

We can confirms hashrates that are very close to the ones claimed on the GTX 1070 and of course the miner also does well on other NVidia GPUs. Do note however that it does require SM 5.0 GPU, meaning Maxwell or Pascal as it will not work on older Nvidia architectures…

A: You can run the miner like all previous versions with command line arguments, in this case the config file will be ignored. If you sets the –config argument, the specified config file will be used, all other command line arguments will be ignored. If you run a miner without command line arguments, the miner will try to use the default config file miner.cfg.

The good news is that getting started with Zcash mining is very simple. You don’t need to download the full Zcash blockchain or manage clunky command-line miners with manual instructions; you can mine directly to an exchange or to a hardware wallet such as Trezor or Ledger Nano S. Of course, you should always do your due diligence to ensure your coins will be properly supported before sending them anywhere.

Today we are going to show you how to mine Zcash with your CPU and GPU on Windows. We are going to use two miners (Software) for each type of hardware: Nicehash miner for CPU and the claymore miner for GPU.

Earlier today Zcash (ZEC) went live as expected and people are already starting to mine it, some of them probably are still not aware of the slow start with very small block rewards initially. Regardless, with what is available as miners at the moment there are pretty much two places where you would want to go for mining if you still haven’t done so. The first one for CPU mining and CUDA mining is Flypool that uses a modified version of NiceHash’s stratum miner available for download here CPU/CUDA miner for Flypool.

Not everyone has the proper knowledge, time and patience to start Zcash mining on their own but still you can go for Zcash mining using your own computer.  If you have already decided to mine Zcash, you should know what hardware you need to use. First of all you go for right hardware, then software. There are so many software types available in market that works with various different hardware configurations.

Linux users can also use the Optiminer/Equihash miner as a solution for mining different variations of the Equihash algorithm (Equihash 200/9, Equihash 192/7, Equihash 96/5). A Windows version is supposed to come out at some point, but it is still not available for the moment.

Sure, it’s easy. Set the Trezor up as per its documentation, making sure to accurately record and securely store the seed phrase as your top priority. Of course, you must also remember / record your PIN.

Using the exact same stable msi AB settings I dialed in with DSTM, I tried it out for 24 hours and didn’t get a single crash and rejected shares were single digits out of almost 3k shares submitted and my overall hashrate went up +60 sol/s. I’ve also noticed it doesn’t mind when I’m tuning the graphics cards while active and have never gotten a bsod or frozen pc in days now. Cherry on top is that I personally like the telemetry screen which is a bit nicer to monitor over dstm’s. Devfee is the standard 2% same as all the others.

You will now need to choose a pool in which to mine at. Most pools now use your wallet address as an account, with payments sent automatically to your wallet address once you reach the pool’s payment threshold. There are still some exceptions to this, such as the Suprnova pool which still requires you to register an separate account and input your wallet address separately.

If you’re at the phase of building a mining rig, check out our 6 GPU mining rig guide. The 3-part tutorial walks through each and every step to get your up and mining with as little hassle as possible.

Zcash also differs because it has a built-in privacy protocol called zk-SNARKS, which is designed to make it the leading privacy-based crypto in the market (competing with other privacy coins such as Dash and Monero).

It can also help to check your equipment on different mining profitability websites. Sometimes the estimations vary so you can get a more accurate prediction by trying out different calculators. Some worth mentioning are:

In order to mine using this guide, there are two things that you’ll need. The first is a wallet to store your funds. There are currently multiple GUI wallets available and you can compare them here. You can also use this guide to learn how to install one of them on Linux. It is also possible to use an exchange as a wallet but we do not recommend it.

The AM200 Ethereum Miner has been in development for a number of months with the goal of delivering a high quality solution suitable for almost any environment. Proper cooling, and web based management of the miner provide for ease of use not seen with many Ethereum Miners to date,

Starting with Genesis Mining who have once more upgraded the Zcash cloud mining hashrate for their existing customers by another 25%. This means that everyone that has already purchased Zcash cloud mining hashrate from them got a nice boost in performance and amount of mined ZEC for free. Furthermore, new customers purchasing Zcash cloud mining hashrate will also get a boost in the hashrate they purchase, however the mining for new contracts purchased at the moment will start on December 1st and not immediately, so pretty much after the slow start for the mining ends.

If you are new in crypto like me and don’t know where to start or what to do, check this article, it helped me find the good exchanges, save a lot in commission fees and showed me how to earn free coins (not many but a little of different coins, who knows, maybe one day they will be worth a lot) :

Thanks for the article i’ve set up everything I believe correctly and I have one gpu msi armor 1060 running but my other 2 gpus (same models) are not running. On initial start up all gpu fans will spin and then one pretty much takes command. Any thoughts on what the issue could be??

You can click the Download button for the current driver or choose Download Previous Drivers & Software on the right-hand side. This will allow you to choose an older version that will be a great driver for mining based on your card:

For the CPU part of this guide, we are going to use Nicehash miner. While this miner works for both CPU and GPU, we are going to get the best performance if we use different miners for CPU and GPU. This is because the Claymore miner is faster but only works for CPU.

ZCash uses Equihash as an hashing algorithm, which is an asymmetric memory-hard PoW algorithm based on the generalized birthday problem. It relies on high RAM requirements to bottleneck the generation of proofs and making ASIC development unfeasible, much like Ethereum.

Transaction Fees   This is a small, optional fee attached to a Bitcoin transfer. Upon the completion of all 21 million bitcoins being created, these fees will provide the reward to encourage miner to continue mining and verifying the network transactions.

To minimize the disruptions to your mining and settings, you may also want to disable Windows Updates. If you feel more secure leaving updates on, you can do so, but keep in mind there are frequent updates that will reboot your system and stop your mining.

The other software I will be using in this guide and recommend is MSI’s Afterburner, which the latest version can be found on the MSI site here. The version of Afterburner I used for the guide is 4.3.0.9267.

After creating an account you’ll need to setup a worker to help keep track of your mining progress, to do this use the link below and add a new worker to your account called worker1 and set the password as x. (or use details as you see fit)

There’s no payout. Reach 700, took a screen shot, but no income. If I could give lower than one star I’d do it. It also forces to open up a coinbase account specific for this app even if I already have one.

Covering these steps more in detail, to get started mining Zcash with EWBF you will need a Windows based PC (or mining rig) and a late generation Nvidia GPU, preferably a GTX10xx series such as the GTX 1080 that I will be using.

Dear Steven, I read that article. But there is a problem me. My graphic card is not related to the article. AMD or other. Therefore when I run the batch file. The error occurred. Error say. GPU card not found. Can i change the configuration data for my GVA (Intel Graphic)

If you are buying a GPU for deep learning and are looking for something to offset your costs, Zcash may be a reason to upgrade from a GTX 1060 to a GTX 1070, a GTX 1080 to GTX 1080 Ti. Our advice here is to get a larger card. At some point, adding additional GTX 1060’s is less efficient for deep learning, gaming and from a cost perspective. Since each PCIe slot has a cost if you decide to scale out, we advocate getting larger cards if possible.

The following explanation is about how to mine Zcash (very profitable currently at the moment as of writing this article) in a pool called miningpoolhub. It is possible to mine many other coins through this pool, but you need to download other mining software to do so.

Check out Mining Pool Hub and the MultiPoolMiner they link to on their site. You can do CPU mining with it. It will benchmark several different miner applications and automatically switch to mining the most profitable coin. You can also select to be paid BTC/ETH/etc.

dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner version 0.6 adds failover pool support, one of the features that we wanted to see the most to make this a really good alternative. It is not failover pool support only however, the latest version introduces support for configuration files as well and an option to control mining intensity for the GPUs. There are also a number of other new features added as well as improvements that might be useful for some people, but we can already say that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner is now the better miner when compared with EWBF ZCash CUDA miner, so if you are still using EWBF’s software you might want to give dstm’s one a go. Do note that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner should be faster performing in terms of hashrate with the same settings, also there is a 2% developer fee included with this closed source miner.

You can click the Download button for the current driver or choose Download Previous Drivers & Software on the right-hand side. This will allow you to choose an older version that will be a great driver for mining based on your card:

Zcash mining is largely limited to GPU and CPU mining rigs. One one hand this means that it is more accessible to beginning miners. On the other hand, this also means that you there are a plethora of hardware options to choose from.

hi, bminer also faster than other miner around 10-15%, but reject data it’s so high, i using on nicehash to mine, reject data around 3% to 5%, i will try direct to mining zecoin later and report of bminer.

We all love getting consistent feedback for our work. After all, there’s nothing more frustrating than mining into the void. That’s why mining pools are so popular for miners nowadays. Instead of waiting to receive rewards on your own (which takes very long because of how unlikely it is), just join a pool to receive a fair proportion in the worth of your hash contribution to the network. Mining pools break up the rewards proportionally between all participants, which is why it’s the preferred way to mine for most lower-hash miners.

Incentivizing the creation of open source miners will enable a wider community to mine for Zcash coins and take ownership of the network as a public good. While we expect a full range in size of Zcash miners to exist, the more individuals who run a miner (whether GPU or CPU) the stronger the network.

In terms of durability, Zcash will heat up your GPU 24×7 if you let it. Founder’s edition cards using default settings will hit 80C if the ambient temperature is high enough. Cards like the EVGA 1060 6GB card cannot handle the cooling required for Zcash mining for 24×7 operation.

It’s worth noting that the AMD solutions tend to have a better ROI than than what you’ll get with Nvidia GPUs. However, if you find good oppers on Nvidia GPUs, don’t hesitate to choose those over the AMD alternatives.

Editor’s Note: We ran this analysis on 20 May 2017 when Zcash’s coin ZEC was $104 USD to 1 ZEC. By the early morning Pacific time of 22 May 2017 that had hit $124. As this is about to publish it is currently at $248 USD to 1 ZEC. These markets fluctuate greatly.

At the beginning you could effectively mine Zcash with just a CPU, but due to advancements in software GPU’s have a huge advantage over CPU’s. You can still use a CPU to mine but your return will be very low, so all of the serious miners use GPU rigs. GPU miners will often fall into one of two camps:

Now that you’ve got your hands dirty, just sit back and watch your zcash roll in! Be aware that you are mining to a transparent address (it starts with t). You can follow this guide to learn how to create a private and transparent wallet.

The issue is that ewbf is not the fastest miner availible so it should be compared to dtsm´s miner and the increases are not that significant. But the 1080 boost seems nice, i will test it on my rigs.

Not everyone has access to a computer, however, and not everyone has the time, knowledge or patience to start mining Zcash on their own, especially since there is no Graphic User Interface (GUI) Miner available yet. If you want to mine on your own computer, but need a little push to do so, you’re in the right place. But if you’re looking to profit from Zcash mining with no effort at all, this guide will do the trick.

The blockchain allows the transfer of funds in a decentralized manner, while security and fraud-prevention are carried out by encryption, hence the name crypto, as cryptography is the discipline of encryption. Encrypting and verifying a transaction requires work. Computers which do this kind of work, which is basically solving a mathematical puzzle, get to write the next block in the chain, and are rewarded with coins for it – this is practically the mining operation. The more miners a network has, the stronger it is and the faster and more secure it is.

Today we are going to show you how to mine Zcash with your CPU and GPU on Windows. We are going to use two miners (Software) for each type of hardware: Nicehash miner for CPU and the claymore miner for GPU.

If you’re interested in taking your crypto mining to the next level, sign up at Crypto Mining Academy, where I go massively in-depth, detailing every step of this process in a comprehensive course. Happy mining!

Got a problem that we’re not able to coach you through over the phone? We’ve got you covered – Freedom Miner has a remote desktop application built in and with a couple of clicks you can authorize one of our engineers to access your rig and make the repair remotely.

That is when I got a warm welcome into Genesis Mining, which is cloud mining. I was blown away and soon realized this is where the future of mining is headed. The average ROI now is 4 months which gives a whooping 20 months of profit.

Building a large ZEC position through mining now may allow you to take advantage of price appreciation in the future with less risk than you’d face by just buying ZEC. Let’s break this idea down a bit further.

You can go through the list of Zcash mining software that is easily available online. Some of them contain a built in developers fee. First of all you need to set up your local Zcash node and configure it and then start mining.

6. It is recommended that you install applications such as MSI Afterburner in order to control the card’s fan. In its default mode, the power is low and it allows the card to reach a temperature of 70-80 degrees Celcius (normal when playing occasionally but not healthy when it comes to a machine running 24-hours a day).

For the nVidia software, we will be configuring the start.bat file. Simply right click to edit in notepad. Once opened, we can set the server address, and your Zcash public address. For this guide we will use the ‘us1-zcash.flypool.org’ server, but choose the server closest to you. Your Start.bat file should now be configured similar to mine as seen below.

Theres a few more things we need to do before we can start running the miner. First of all, we need to add this string of code to the config.txt, especially on 1-2GB video cards. This will ensure everything runs smoothly. Add this code to your config.txt file:

Their prices are now a bit higher than the above alternative since the latest announcement of hashrate upgrade, but there is an active promotional code for them as well that is following a recent Halloween promotion going for all knids of cloud mining hashrate being offered. You can use the promo code HF16HLLWN10 to get a 10% discount from the regular price of $4.20 USD per 0.1 H/s for the EQUIHASH cloud mining hashrate being offered at the moment. Do note however that this discount code will be valid only until 06.11.2016 23:59 (UTC +0) when the promotional offer will expire.

Yeah pretty good, but since the last month has been a little weird, it basically keeps disconecting form the main pool from time to time (for 3 min to 1 hr in a row once every third day), aside from that it works perfectly. This is just an opinion for Ethereum and Siacoin pools, i cannot say anything about others coins.

As we have done for Monero CPU and mining, we have an easy-to-use Zcash NVIDIA GPU mining instance using the popular EWBF v0.3.3b miner. One command and you can start/ stop miners targeting single GPUs and be mining in a matter of seconds.

I can run it over my laptop with no issue but unable to run it on my Desktop (as it is on domain) Is there a way to run this script over a local network by using my domain username and password ? etc ? Thank you

–pass z  (the actual value of this parameter is usually ignored by pools but oftentimes required by either the pool, mining program, or both. Can be set to something like “X” or “Z” unless your pool requires a specific password).

Difficulty   this is the measure of how hard it is to generate a new block in the blockchain. The difficulty is designed to adjust every 2,016 blocks (roughly 2 weeks) to balance out the rate at which blocks are created. The difficulty has an absolute minimum of 1, but not such limit exists for the maximum.

Since we included –api you can monitor the miner with a web browser as opposed to the command/terminal window. On the mining rig, navigate to 127.0.0.1:42000 in a web browser. You should see a screen like the one below.

Digital currencies are mine to a transparent address but it can be spent to shielded address or Z-address. This currency should be swept out of the transparent address in one transaction without any changes.  You should use the Z-sendmany command to send currencies from a transparent address to shielded address. You need 4GB RAM for this process.

Learn more about EWBF’s Cuda Zcash Miner  – We’ve only exposed you to a few of the settings that are available for use when mining. In the folder with the miner in it, open the HELP.txt file to review all available settings.

I recommend looking into MultipoolMiner or one of the forks from it. It does not have bminer, but it does have more pools and a lot of miners. If a pool gets hacked again, I will lose less because it is distributed across multiple websites.

The card should have at least 1 GB of RAM, or it won’t be able to properly mine Zcash. This is a correction from the video, as EWBF supports GPUs with just 1 GB of RAM, compared to Ethereum’s 3 GB requirement. However, many older cards may not be energy efficient enough to turn a profit, so check on whattomine.com by entering your card’s info.

The decentralization is done using the blockchain technology. Blockchain, is a type of a ledger that confirms transactions and lives in a distributed-fashion in the cloud. In other words, a group of computers around the world holds copies of the order books and for any given change in it, all the copies are updated. When a majority of the computers authorize a transaction, the money is securely transferred and added to the next block which will be written.

Claymore’s Zcash (ZEC) AMD miner has been updated a couple of times already since the release of the initial version from some days ago. The number of optimizations and hashrate improvements with pretty much each major update has been tremendous, bringing back to life many of the old AMD Radeon GPUs such as 7950/7970 or the 280X, some of the most popular mining video cards for the last few years. The latest release, already a major version 6 brought more fixes and optimizations in terms of performance. As one would expect Nvidia is left behind once more, even though there were some signs that recently it was starting to catch up to the levels of performance of AMD GPUs, it is now yet again significantly slower. So owners of Nvidia-based mining rigs might want to switch to some other alternative for mining at the moment after the latest performance boosts from Claymore. Do have in mind however that Claymore’s Zcash miner does come with a 2.5% dev fee, below is a list of major changes and updates of the miner after the initial release:

Hey Charlie, OK, I expect you’re checking that out on the South African Bitmart.co.za site which sells miners and other crypto gear? It’s their name for 6x 1080 GPUs in a re-assembled rig… So sure, it’ll be good for mining zCash, as that’s its intended purpose after all and the 1080 GPU is a good miner. That said, electricity in SA has become pretty expensive and Bitmart’s prices are fairly steep. Their setup goes for R88k but I see that a single GT 1080 (basic model, not the Ti) goes for about R10k on Evetech: https://www.evetech.co.za/PC-Components/buy-nvidia-geforce-gtx-graphics-cards-47.aspx You should check which… Read more »

Once your Trezor is setup, then the Trezor web wallet will display a list of addresses under the Receive tab (if I remember the tab’s name correctly, it’s something like “Receive”). Just select any address listed there and plug it into your mining pool / software as your payout address.

Buying gear and mining cryptocurrency with it allows you to own an income-producing asset in the gear itself, with aftermarket resale value holding up very well and even appreciating. GPUs purchased for mining in 2015 and 2016 were often sold at a profit in 2017 due to high demand in the market!

Following the startup information. we can see we are getting block information from the pool and that our graphics card(s) are detected and being assigned new work. After a little bit you shoudl start seeing shares accepted messages indicating your GPU has found a solution, submitted it the the pool and it was accepted.

Hey Charlie, Well, you should multiply the hashrate and electricity consumption and price tag of each GPU by 6, seeing as the Zodiac contains 6 GPUs.
