The EWBF CUDA Zcash Miner has a built-in developer fee that is set at 2%, meaning that every 10 minutes the software will switch to a different pool and mine for the developer some shares and then get back to mining for you. The author of the software claims speeds of about 250 H/s for Nvidia GTX 1070 while the NiceHash EQM miner does currently about 220 H/s on the same GPU. Our quick tests showed a hashrate of about 235-240 H/s average (up to 250 H/s) on stock GTX 1070, so still slightly faster, but not as much as you may want it to… then there is the dev fee as well and it seems that we are seeing somewhat more rejects than, especially when switching to mine for the dev fee. So while this may be an interesting alternative for users willing to mine outside of NiceHash, the actual performance that you may get poolside may not be much different than with what is currently the fastest implementation from NiceHash (taking into account the dev fee and the rejected shares)…

Broke the bank to get this card as an open box sale for about 50bux off regular price and it performs exactly as advertised with ethminer (30mh/s). I didn’t try a zcash miner as I immediately switched to running NiceHash with the cool interface. Running NH for 8 days off and on will net me an average of $6/hour. It does double duty at nights running PUBG on ULTRA settings.
Replace “eu” for your location, “ZEC-ADDRESS” for your zcash wallet address (transparent address), replace “-t 8” for the number of threads you want to use, and lastly replace “-og 0” for the number of GPUs you’re using (as in -og 0 1 2 if you’re using 3 GPUs)
Choose and download an appropriate mining program that supports, a: your desired coin (Zcash), b: your GPU (GTX 1080), c: your operating system (Windows 10), and sometimes d: your pool (rarely but does occasionally happen).
Private Key This is the part of data that you keep secret in your Bitcoin wallet. Every Bitcoin address has a unique private key attached. Zcash mining is largely limited to GPU and CPU mining rigs. One one hand this means that it is more accessible to beginning miners. On the other hand, this also means that you there are a plethora of hardware options to choose from.
I think the Nvidia bottle neck applies to anything you mine on Windows. It has to do with the recent Nvidia drivers. That’s why I suggest ubuntu. Now I’m not for sure on Windows 7 because I only use Windows 10 and Ubuntu. If you find something out let me know!
For a solid budget card, the Nvidia 1060 with 6 GB of RAM is recommended (when in stock and not ridiculously overpriced due to the card shortages we’ve been seeing in summer 2017). This GPU will beat the AMD 480s when it comes to mining Zcash!

For the nVidia software, we will be configuring the start.bat file. Simply right click to edit in notepad. Once opened, we can set the server address, and your Zcash public address. For this guide we will use the ‘us1-zcash.flypool.org’ server, but choose the server closest to you. Your Start.bat file should now be configured similar to mine as seen below.
Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and are rife with manipulation. Zcash is a relatively medium sized cryptocurrency currently valued at around $150M USD (at $104 USD per ZEC.) You can also start mining process with your GPU. You can use claymore as it has a long standing reputation and optimized for miners. It helps improve the hashing rate and sometimes it takes time download and use. If you are going to use Genoil miner then it is going to work for pool mining and with AMD graphic cards. The miner may charge 2.5% fee and the every hour miner mines for developer during 3 minutes.
Install your GPU drivers as you normally would and reboot. You’ll know your GPU has been recognized correctly if you go to Device Manager (search it in Windows search bar) and you don’t see any warning marks on your GPUs. They should look like this:

As solving these mathematical puzzles had become difficult, mining pools are being used. A mining pool is a joint effort between miners, so that even a miner with a relatively small amount of processing power can enjoy the reward, without having to solve the whole mathematical puzzle by himself, as it requires a lot of computing power (Hash rate). In the early days of Bitcoin, it was possible to mine Bitcoin with a standard processor of a personal computer (CPU mining). Afterwards, as the network grew bigger, the difficulty of solving these puzzles grew too, and it was no longer possible to mine using a CPU. For this reason, people shifted to using powerful “gamers” graphics card processes (GPU mining), as their design solves those puzzles much faster than a CPU. The next step was to shift over to ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits which are basically dedicated machines built for the sole purpose of mining). Today, Bitcoin’s network is so heavy, that nobody can mine Bitcoin by themselves. As an individual miner’s power is relatively small, he will probably not be able to solve any puzzle before other more powerful miners do and new puzzles are issued, resulting in wasted work which practically gives income (in theory, an individual can solve a puzzle by themselves, but with Bitcoin the chances of success are smaller than winning the lottery).
I have a lowly GTX 1060 and only started mining with it two days ago. I used ewbf first because it was listed first on miningpoolhub. After playing with it some, it would peak for me about 291 h/s. The average was closer to 288. I could push it to 300, but only by risking arrest for GPU abuse. I switched to dstm last night and am averaging 314 h/s. Even with the fee, I’m better off. Your mileage may vary.

Since we included –api you can monitor the miner with a web browser as opposed to the command/terminal window. On the mining rig, navigate to 127.0.0.1:42000 in a web browser. You should see a screen like the one below.
As you can see our current Hashrate is showing as 506.7 H/s, which is equivalent to the Sol/s reading on the miner. The avergae hashrate is showing as 494.6 and is the effective rate for the past 24 hours. I should point out that this rate is slightly lower than the average mainly as I shut this miner down a few times in the course of writing this guide. The final part are the valid and invalid shares. Obviously you want as near as 100% valid and 0% invalid as possible, but don’t be too concerned if your see 1 0r 2% in the invalid column on occasion.
