Zcash mining is getting pretty popular but solo mining can get pretty lonely. Come test the waters on a Zcash pool! All you have to do is follow this guide! We are going to use the NiceHash open source miner, which allows us to mine for BTC or for ZCash. Since we want to keep our newly mined ZEC, we’re using the second option.

The EWBF CUDA Zcash Miner has a built-in developer fee that is set at 2%, meaning that every 10 minutes the software will switch to a different pool and mine for the developer some shares and then get back to mining for you. The author of the software claims speeds of about 250 H/s for Nvidia GTX 1070 while the NiceHash EQM miner does currently about 220 H/s on the same GPU. Our quick tests showed a hashrate of about 235-240 H/s average (up to 250 H/s) on stock GTX 1070, so still slightly faster, but not as much as you may want it to… then there is the dev fee as well and it seems that we are seeing somewhat more rejects than, especially when switching to mine for the dev fee. So while this may be an interesting alternative for users willing to mine outside of NiceHash, the actual performance that you may get poolside may not be much different than with what is currently the fastest implementation from NiceHash (taking into account the dev fee and the rejected shares)…
I can run it over my laptop with no issue but unable to run it on my Desktop (as it is on domain) Is there a way to run this script over a local network by using my domain username and password ? etc ? Thank you
The issue is that ewbf is not the fastest miner availible so it should be compared to dtsm´s miner and the increases are not that significant. But the 1080 boost seems nice, i will test it on my rigs.
Well you need to do your own due diligence, but if you click on the link originating from the Bitcointalk EWBF support thread you should be taken to the authors downloads, which many users have reported as safe.
If you want to dual-boot and not just clean install you will need this step. Right click on the windows start menu, on the bottom left and select ‘Disk Management’. Select your main HDD or SSD that you want to dual boot from, right click on it and press ‘Shrink’. I suggest using at least 32gb just to be safe.

The average mining rate of the system is 200Mh/s, providing an opportunity for an excellent return at current ETH values, if ETH continues to climb as Bitcoin has it will produce a return many times over.
Running four Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce Extreme in a normal Case. Runs smooth, almost quiet, a lot of overclocking potential cause of the Watercooling. Getting 3000H/s with slight oc. Good GPU. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately it’s currently written specifically for linux and uses direct OperatingSystem calls to be as fast as possible, to have very low cpu usage and to consume energy as little as possible. However if people are interested in a Windows version I’ll port it. First we have to check how it performs on something faster then a 750ti However my test are very promising.
Replace “stratum.zcash.nicehash.com:3357” with your pool’s server. and replace “t1RjQjDbPQ9Syp97DHFyzvgZhcjgLTMwhaq” with your zcash wallet address. Optionally, replace “YourWorkerName”. If you want, you can also replace “x” with your password.
For me, i’ll select the US server as shown. Make sure to also include the port number. In the config.txt, I will insert ‘-zpool us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333’. Simply add your Zcash wallet to the wallet section by adding ‘-zwal YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS’.
AMD GPU miners were recently getting quite the boost thanks to Claymoreâs Zcash miner on Windows, but now Windows users with Nvidia GPUs also got a nice boost in ZEC mining performance thanks to the release of the NiceHash EQM Zcash Nvidia Optimized Miner. It kind of doubles the performance that people were getting with the previous nheqminer from Nicehash, so now with a 6x GTX 1070 GPUs for example you can be all the way up to about 400 H/s. Do note that the miner currently supports only newer Nvidia GPUs and will apparently not work on anything lower than SM 5.0 capable GPUs â Maxwell or Pascal.
There’s no payout. Reach 700, took a screen shot, but no income. If I could give lower than one star I’d do it. It also forces to open up a coinbase account specific for this app even if I already have one.
Run and verify that the software is mining correctly. After several minutes check your pool for statistics (should see some shares appearing), and after minimum payout level is reached (could be days with one or two cards) check your wallet or exchange to confirm payment was sent by the pool and properly received.

It is to know, that mining on a personal computer is supposed to be done for the purpose of learning. In order to generate profit and achieve massive cooling as well, it is better to build or purchase dedicated mining machines.
Click on “workers” and choose one of the jobs (Account’s default jobs) according to your card. Run the file you have created (mine.bat). Make sure that there are no errors and that a message approving your worker has been received. If you did not get this message, it means you did something wrong. After the program starts running you will see that the worker (called the miner) is added to the “workers” screen. On the site, click “Dashboard” to see data about the mining (it will take some time until you see something; it is updated according to the work that the mining machine does).
Could u please run another test. Set your cpu-governor to performance mode this time. The miner is highly multithreaded. Since it scales so bad compared to a 1070 – it could be due to scheduling latencies. So if u have some time pls test with cpu-scaling governor set to performance.
Linux users can also use the Optiminer/Equihash miner as a solution for mining different variations of the Equihash algorithm (Equihash 200/9, Equihash 192/7, Equihash 96/5). A Windows version is supposed to come out at some point, but it is still not available for the moment.

Both brands of GPU can be good at mining Zcash depending on the model. It will take some research to find what the Cost/Performance/Electricity consumption trade-offs are. Here a list of places to start:

As we have done for Monero CPU and GPU mining, we have an easy-to-use Zcash NVIDIA GPU mining instance using the popular EWBF v0.3.3b miner. One command and you can start/ stop miners targeting single GPUs and be mining in a matter of seconds.
Yeah pretty good, but since the last month has been a little weird, it basically keeps disconecting form the main pool from time to time (for 3 min to 1 hr in a row once every third day), aside from that it works perfectly. This is just an opinion for Ethereum and Siacoin pools, i cannot say anything about others coins.
When the mining software was first released the developer also claimed that he: “Expected speeds (of) 435 sols/s (with a) GTX 1070 (and) 295 (sol/s with a) GTX 1060 6G (running under) Stock settings.” I believe things have improved since the first version with users reporting speeds of over XXX***XXX with a GTX 1070, and my own results of up to 560 sol/s with a GTX 1080.
