Cryptocurrency markets are volatile and are rife with manipulation. Zcash is a relatively medium sized cryptocurrency currently valued at around $150M USD (at $104 USD per ZEC.) As points of comparison, Monero’s market cap is about $500M at the time of this writing and larger players like Ethereum and Bitcoin are well over $10B USD each. With such a small market cap, Zcash is particularly susceptible to market fluctuations.
Replace “eu” for your location, “ZEC-ADDRESS” for your zcash wallet address (transparent address) and lastly replace “-og 0” for the number of GPUs you’re using (as in -og 0 1 2 if you’re using 3 GPUs)

It does mine but there is no way to get paid and you need to put your wallet address in some other website, the app crashes and suddenly stops constantly, it needs an update to fix all those software errors,is really bad design it should pay immediately after is done hashing and it should have a place to put your wallet so it sends the coins to the wallet directly and have no issues, very hard to get support, it seems to be working and hashing but just can’t get it to pay or no support, i don’t recommend it seems like a gimmicky lie
Today we are going to show you how to mine Zcash with your CPU and GPU on Windows. We are going to use two miners (Software) for each type of hardware: Nicehash miner for CPU and the claymore miner for GPU.
Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 437,207 KH/s and using a ZEC – USD exchange rate of 1 ZEC = $ 243.51. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ZEC to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 10 ZEC and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
You can mine Zcash with CPU. If you are about to use nicehash miner it can work for both GPU and CPU. You should use different miners for GPU and CPU. It is as the claymore miner is fast and works only for CPU. You can download the nicehash miner and extract the files within the zip folder.
Not Tech Savvy? No problem – we’ve got live support on our 800 number available Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm to help keep you mining. Got a problem that we’re not able to coach you through over the phone? We’ve got you covered – Freedom Miner has a remote desktop application built in and with a couple of clicks you can authorize one of our engineers to access your rig and make the repair remotely.
I have a Trojan.GenericKD.5331716 in any download for the nheqminer for windows. Does not matter what source I go to. Best be aware. If someone has a source that does not contain it, would be happy to receive.
Genoil’s latest ZECMiner is pretty much the fastest public OpenCL miner (Windows binaries only) for Zcash at the moment, though there are some stability issues with cards dropping to 0 Sol/s and the miner crashing. The situation improves with each new version, but the miner is still not that good stability wise. The latest Nheqminer supports OpenCL mining, but is slower than ZECMiner, even though stability wise it is better… it is much better for CPU and CUDA mining though. Hopefully soon there will be other faster GPU miners that will offer more stability and features along the improved mining speeds, but for now you will need to do with what is currently available.
For the purpose of this guide, we’re going to do a detailed walk-through of setting up and using the very popular Nvidia EWBF Miner. If you have AMD cards, mining Ethereum is usually your most profitable option.

Please note that it is an estimated amount of cryptocoins you can get. The calculations are based on the current pool fee, 0% bad shares and doesn’t account for orphan blocks or uncles. Your profit depends on network difficulty, block reward, transactions amount and fee. Exchange rates are provided by Changelly.
The following explanation is about how to mine Zcash (very profitable currently at the moment as of writing this article) in a pool called miningpoolhub. It is possible to mine many other coins through this pool, but you need to download other mining software to do so.
When the mining software was first released the developer also claimed that he: “Expected speeds (of) 435 sols/s (with a) GTX 1070 (and) 295 (sol/s with a) GTX 1060 6G (running under) Stock settings.” I believe things have improved since the first version with users reporting speeds of over XXX***XXX with a GTX 1070, and my own results of up to 560 sol/s with a GTX 1080.
For the CPU part of this guide, we are going to use Nicehash miner. While this miner works for both CPU and GPU, we are going to get the best performance if we use different miners for CPU and GPU. This is because the Claymore miner is faster but only works for CPU.
Buying gear and mining cryptocurrency with it allows you to own an income-producing asset in the gear itself, with aftermarket resale value holding up very well and even appreciating. GPUs purchased for mining in 2015 and 2016 were often sold at a profit in 2017 due to high demand in the market!
CRITICAL BUG in version 3a and 3b, the servers are always redirected to the EU, although the script to hk .. and version 3 is very unstable, often reporting zero (0) sol .. so, UPGRADE immediately to version 4
Please keep this in mind before you assume that this is profitable and buy hardware. If you were mining in December 2016 assuming a $90-100 price, by January 2017 to early March 2017 your Zcash stash was worth 1/2 to 1/3rd.
I can run it over my laptop with no issue but unable to run it on my Desktop (as it is on domain) Is there a way to run this script over a local network by using my domain username and password ? etc ? Thank you
For this reason, miners started to work in groups, which are called pools. A pool of miners unites the calculation power of a workforce of small miners in order to obtain a significant mining power (aka hash rate), thus increasing the chance of solving a puzzle and getting the reward for it. Each miner in the pool, gets a “share” of the reward, according to the amount of power he contributed to the pool.
Claymore’s Zcash (ZEC) AMD miner has been updated a couple of times already since the release of the initial version from some days ago. The number of optimizations and hashrate improvements with pretty much each major update has been tremendous, bringing back to life many of the old AMD Radeon GPUs such as 7950/7970 or the 280X, some of the most popular mining video cards for the last few years. The latest release, already a major version 6 brought more fixes and optimizations in terms of performance. As one would expect Nvidia is left behind once more, even though there were some signs that recently it was starting to catch up to the levels performance of AMD GPUs, it is now yet again significantly slower. So owners of Nvidia-based mining rigs might want to switch to some other alternative for mining at the moment after the latest performance boosts from Claymore. Do have in mind however that Claymore’s Zcash miner does come with a 2.5% dev fee, below is a list of major changes and updates of the miner after the initial release:

Just in time for Christmas a new NiceHash EQM 1.0.4a miner is available with about 10-15% speed boost for owners of Nvidia GPUs mining Zcash (ZEC). Like previous versions of the EQM miner it will only work for selling your hashrate on NiceHash, so not able to mine on another pool with it. The latest speed bump is intended for SM52 and SM61 capable Nvidia GPUs (that means only 9xx and 10xx cards), so no speedups for owners for first gen Maxwell GTX 750 (Ti) unfortunately. Currently only a Windows version is available. We are seeing a nice bump from about 320 H/s with the previous version to a little over 360 H/s on a stock GTX 1070 GPU with the 1.0.4a, overclocking brings even more hashrate.
