Two minus signs indicate variables or settings that will be supplied to the miner when it starts. Whatever directly follows a minus sign and setting is the value for the mining software to use. Let’s go through each in this file.

The price of Ethereum mining machines must be adjusted frequently according to many factors, including ETH/USD exchange rate, the network difficulty, and expected difficulty increase. Refund requests based on price changes cannot be honored.
Freedom Miner is a Zcash Miner beast and is defaulted to mine ZEC out of the box. However, changing currencies is a breeze before or after you receive the rig. During purchase simply provide us with your wallet addresses for the coins you wish to mine and we’ll send your rig pre-configured. Don’t have wallet addresses yet? No problem, we can ship your rig with our system defaults. Freedom Miner comes with a standard 3-prong US style power cord, but other standard power supply cables are compatible as well.
Zcash Mining Guide for Beginners, Zcash has become very popular term and people want to know more about it. This is a Cryptocurrency that generally uses zk-snarks. This anonymous digital currency ensures that all the transaction information is safe and safely encrypted.
One of my GPUs is throwing out a constant stream of “GPU #2 returned incorrect data!” errors. It’s a rig with 4x 7950s running at stock speeds (925 MHz GPU clock, 1250 MHz Mem clock) and all are running below 70C with fan speeds set at 85%. Most people with this issue seem to have much higher temps or big overclocks. Also, adjusting the intensity does not help. Has anyone else run into this or managed to fix it?
Click on “workers” and choose one of the jobs (Account’s default jobs) according to your card. Run the file you have created (mine.bat). Make sure that there are no errors and that a message approving your worker has been received. If you did not get this message, it means you did something wrong. After the program starts running you will see that the worker (called the miner) is added to the “workers” screen. On the site, click “Dashboard” to see data about the mining (it will take some time until you see something; it is updated according to the work that the mining machine does).
Before we begin, it is important to note that the responsibility of mining rests only with the miners themselves. Caution is required when running a computer and using high power for a long period of time. We have never heard of case where a miner burned a house down, but computers can certainly smoke. In addition, no one is guaranteed to see profits due to fluctuations in exchange rates and a change in mining difficulty level and performance.
I will go through start to finish on how to set up a Zcash miner on Ubuntu. This is because if you are mining with an Nvidia Graphics card the windows drivers are a little wonky so you will be limiting your hashrate. For me I have 2 GTX 980ti’s in my gaming computer. When I mine Ethereum on windows I get around 5 Mh/s and when I mine on Ubuntu I get 40 Mh/s. For those of you with gaming computers this can be a nice passive source of income while you aren’t playing games. Also AMD GPUs tend to be better at mining Ethereum, but Nvidia GPUs are better at mining Zcash. So if you have an Nvidia GPU I would suggest to mine Zcash. I do. If you have AMD GPU’s I would suggest looking at this guide here.

Important: You will need to already have Zcash installed before you can start using the more specialized software below! If you want a beginners step-by-step guide to installing and using the software for you can find one here and I have embedded the official install video below.
We wanted to investigate whether buying overclocked cards was worth it for mining. If you are buying these cards and using them out of the box in Linux (for machine learning) then you do not have access to the nice Windows overclocking tools. Also, crypto mining generates 24×7 load so some of the aftermarket cooling solutions on the overclocked cards can be extremely advantageous. One other point to note is that larger cards like the ASUS STRIX models have PCB and coolers that rise well beyond the PCIe slots. That should be a consideration if you are thinking about these systems in rackmount enclosures.
There are many risks when it comes to Zcash mining on your NVIDIA Pascal desktop GPU. First, Zcash pricing can be unpredictable. We have seen major drops in value before (depicted above.) One also needs to be able to convert Zcash to standard currency which may incur transaction fees and/ or be difficult.
Similar to the Claymore miner (which does not currently support Zcash mining under Windows), the EWBF miner contains a 2% developer fee which can be turned off in the batch file. It is noted the thread that disabling the fee will slightly reduce hashing power, similar to that same behavior with Claymore’s miner.
