I have a Trojan.GenericKD.5331716 in any download for the nheqminer for windows. Does not matter what source I go to. Best be aware. If someone has a source that does not contain it, would be happy to receive.

**link removed** As per your instructions (both on the printed and video instructions) when I to “mega” (see above) and clicked, it brought me a list of about 15 items, each item that said “Zec Miner” with different dates on it. (I have a screen shot of the list but no where to upload it.) I picked the most recent date, which was the last item on the list, When I unpacked it to my desktop it still said “Zec Miner.” I went back an did a search for “EWBF ZEc Miner” on that same forum page with no… Read more »

Zcash mining is very simple and it is good news for beginners now they need not to download full Zcash block chain. They need not to manage clunky command line miners with manual instructions.  If you are a beginner you can go for Zcash mining directly.

Equihash is memory-hard but also fast to verify. Proof of Work is established by requiring “… two parameters: N (width in bits) and K (length), which determine the complexity of the underlying problem …”. The complexity of the underlying problem directly influences the memory and time required for the computation. If you want a run-through of the algorithm itself, take a look at this informative post on the Zcash forum.

It does mine but there is no way to get paid and you need to put your wallet address in some other website, the app crashes and suddenly stops constantly, it needs an update to fix all those software errors,is really bad design it should pay immediately after is done hashing and it should have a place to put your wallet so it sends the coins to the wallet directly and have no issues, very hard to get support, it seems to be working and hashing but just can’t get it to pay or no support, i don’t recommend it seems like a gimmicky lie

Next, you’ll want to modify your system page file and manually set it to 16384 MB (16GB). Right click “This PC” from Windows Explorer and choose “Properties”. Click on “Advanced system settings”. On the Advanced tab, click “Settings” (under Performance).

Check FAQ if there is a problem. If your problem is not described there, please let us know by e-mail. Specify the detailed description of the problem in the message. Note: your account can help solve your problem quickly. if possible, attach logs.

Since we included –api you can monitor the miner with a web browser as opposed to the command/terminal window. On the mining rig, navigate to 127.0.0.1:42000 in a web browser. You should see a screen like the one below.

The card should have at least 1 GB of RAM, or it won’t be able to properly mine Zcash. This is a correction from the video, as EWBF supports GPUs with just 1 GB of RAM, compared to Ethereum’s 3 GB requirement. However, many older cards may not be energy efficient enough to turn a profit, so check on whattomine.com by entering your card’s info.

Hey Charlie, OK, I expect you’re checking that out on the South African Bitmart.co.za site which sells miners and other crypto gear? It’s their name for 6x 1080 GPUs in a re-assembled rig… So sure, it’ll be good for mining zCash, as that’s its intended purpose after all and the 1080 GPU is a good miner. That said, electricity in SA has become pretty expensive and Bitmart’s prices are fairly steep. Their setup goes for R88k but I see that a single GT 1080 (basic model, not the Ti) goes for about R10k on Evetech: https://www.evetech.co.za/PC-Components/buy-nvidia-geforce-gtx-graphics-cards-47.aspx You should check which… Read more »

By default the EWBF miner should extract to a folder named “Zec miner 0.3.3b” unless you changed it. I would recommend placing this folder somewhere easy to get to, such as the root of your C drive, your Desktop, or somewhere you can easily locate it. For this guide I extracted it to: “C:\Zec miner 0.3.3b“. Open up the Zec miner 0.3.3b folder and you should see files similar those those below:

Zcash is an open source cryptocurrency that focuses on the privacy element. This cryptocurrency is mineable utilizing the CPU, and/or GPU. It is a popular currency to mine with nVidia GPU’s as the algorithm hashes better on these GPU’s vs. their AMD competitors. The GTX series is the most popular for mining Zcash.

Buying gear and mining cryptocurrency with it allows you to own an income-producing asset in the gear itself, with aftermarket resale value holding up very well and even appreciating. GPUs purchased for mining in 2015 and 2016 were often sold at a profit in 2017 due to high demand in the market!

For this test, we are using the EWBF 0.3.3b miner. We are comparing all of the GTX series GPUs in terms of mining performance as well as power consumption. For the NVIDIA GTX 1070, GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti we have both Founder’s Edition and overclocked variants. We did not test the GTX 1050 (2GB) and GTX 1060 (3GB) variants because they have significantly lower value for gaming and machine learning. We are assuming these GPUs are not dedicated miners and instead Zcash mining is something to utilize hardware while it is idle/ offset costs.

  1. Freedom Miner is a Zcash Miner beast and is defaulted to mine ZEC out of the box, however changing currencies is a breeze before or after you receive the rig. During purchase simply provide us with your wallet addresses for the coins you wish to mine and we’ll send your rig pre-configured. Don’t have wallet addresses yet? No problem, we can ship your rig with our system defaults.Freedom Miner comes with a standard 3-prong US style power cord, but other standard power supply cables are compatible as well.
The other thing is wallet that you need to complete the mining process. You require a wallet to receive, send and store your funds.  There are multiple GPU wallets available and you can choose the right one. You can compare the features and reviews.
FPGA   Field Programmable Gate Array, an FPGA is the former king of the Bitcoin mining world. An FPGA is an integrated circuit whos function can be changed as it can be reprogrammed. This makes if more versatile than an ASIC, but far less efficient in its ability. They enjoyed a short time between GPUs and ASICs as the most efficient way to mine. For further details, please see our hardware page.
