Since cryptocurrencies have risen exponentially in the past few months people want in. One of the best ways to make money with currencies like Ethereum and Bitcoin is to ‘mine’ them. When you mine a cryptocurrency you are running a program on your computer to use your computers computing power on the network. Whenever your computer solves a piece of the puzzle, a block in the blockchain, your miner is rewarded. There are two main ways to mine:
Now me personally I am a little superstittious when it comes to running things and I for some reason like to run my mining programs a super user. This will be a little redundant, but this is just how I do it.
Starting with Genesis Mining who have once more upgraded the Zcash cloud mining hashrate for their existing customers by another 25%. This means that everyone that has already purchased Zcash cloud mining hashrate from them got a nice boost in performance and amount of mined ZEC for free. Furthermore, new customers purchasing Zcash cloud mining hashrate will also get a boost in the hashrate they purchase, however the mining for new contracts purchased at the moment will start on December 1st and not immediately, so pretty much after the slow start for the mining ends.
Besides the ability to rent and lease hashrate for the new Equihash mining algorithm being used by Zcash (ZEC) NiceHash is also offering what they call Fast Zcash Cloud Mining Contracts. These are 24 hour mining contracts, but with a large amount of hashrate that you are getting for this short period of time. This is an interesting alternative to long term cloud mining contracts, but probably not the best one for the moment while we are still in the slow start of mining for Zcash. Still a nice alternative to have to long term contracts as well as to traditional renting of hashrate where the price may vary and here you have a fixed price for the day.

Both brands of GPU can be good at mining Zcash depending on the model. It will take some research to find what the Cost/Performance/Electricity consumption trade-offs are. Here a list of places to start:
It can also help to check your equipment on different mining profitability websites. Sometimes the estimations vary so you can get a more accurate prediction by trying out different calculators. Some worth mentioning are:
Some settings should be modified in Windows to get you ready for mining. First, you don’t want your computer to go into Sleep mode, as it will interrupt your mining. Go to your Power Settings and set Turn Off/Sleep to Never.
CRITICAL BUG in version 3a and 3b, the servers are always redirected to the EU, although the script to hk .. and version 3 is very unstable, often reporting zero (0) sol .. so, UPGRADE immediately to version 4
And that’s it, you’re ready to mine for Zcash. Simply click the Start.bat file and you should start mining. You can also look up the statistics of your miners on the pool website that you’re using by inputting your public address.
Mining and holding crypto is similar to the old adage of buying low and selling high, except for the fact that most buyers don’t know how to do technical analysis, so they buy and sell at the wrong times. They buy high during parabolic price increases and sell low during what could be normal price corrections on continued upward trends.
Zcash uses a different hashing algorithm than Bitcoin’s, making it incompatible with the special hashing hardware (ASICs) developed for Bitcoin mining. Zcash’s algorithm is known as Equihash. It’s a memory-hard algorithm; it’s designed to resist the development of Zcash-mining ASICs. Instead, Equihash is deliberately best suited for GPU mining.
If you are new in crypto like me and don’t know where to start or what to do, check this article, it helped me find the good exchanges, save a lot in commission fees and showed me how to earn free coins (not many but a little of different coins, who knows, maybe one day they will be worth a lot) :
You can mine it to an exchange or to hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S. amd Trezor. In this guide, we have mentioned all about the setting process of Nvidia EWBF Miner. You should know how to set and use it up. Mining process can be very profitable for you if you have any AMD card.
You will now need to choose a pool in which to mine at. Most pools now use your wallet address as an account, with sent automatically to your wallet address once you reach the pool’s payment threshold. There are still some exceptions to this, such as the Suprnova pool which still requires you to register an separate account and input your wallet address separately.
Run and verify that the software is mining correctly. After several minutes check your pool for statistics (should see some shares appearing), and after minimum payout level is reached (could be days with one or two cards) check your wallet or exchange to confirm payment was sent by the pool and properly received.
I have a Trojan.GenericKD.5331716 in any download for the nheqminer for windows. Does not matter what source I go to. Best be aware. If someone has a source that does not contain it, would be happy to receive.
Once you have your batch file configured with your settings, it is time to test it out. Save and close the text editor and then double click on the batch file to run the program. If everything is running correctly you should get a screen similar to the one shown below:
Here you can find the submissions to the challenge, along with link to the code hosted on GitHub. Not all submissions received are listed here. If a submission does not appear to include any Equihash code, then it is not published here and was not considered for judgment unless there was code added before the deadline. Submissions are listed in no particular order.
I have a lowly GTX 1060 and only started mining with it two days ago. I used ewbf first because it was listed first on miningpoolhub. After playing with it some, it would peak for me about 291 h/s. The average was closer to 288. I could push it to 300, but only by risking arrest for GPU abuse. I switched to dstm last night and am averaging 314 h/s. Even with the fee, I’m better off. Your mileage may vary.
Right click on the bat file called “flypool” and hit Edit. The file will open in Notepad. Paste what you’ve copied from the flypool website. I’m going to update my server to “us1” instead of “eu1,” and I’m also going to remove the “—cuda_devices” language at the end. This language is used if you want to designate mining only to certain devices (for example, if you want to game with one GPU and mine with the other two). If you want to mine with all devices, you can delete the —cuda_devices designation.
