The dstm’s ZCash Nvidia Miner is supposed to be slightly faster than the popular and widely used EWBF’s CUDA Zcash miner that has not been updated for quite some time, so you might want to give the new miner a try. Our initial tests show a bit better hashrate with the same GPU settings as with the EWBF, though the difference is not huge. Do note that dstm’s miner has its own specifics that you need to get used with such as the use of a separate thread for each GPU and getting 6 separate workers on the pool from one mining rig for example. The interface could also use some improvements and some color coding can further help in readability, but in general it is quite Ok even at the moment. Do note that the 64-bit Windows binary is built with Visual Studio 2015, so if you do not have the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed you might get an error about a missing DLL.

Please note that it is an estimated amount of cryptocoins you can get. The calculations are based on the current pool fee, 0% bad shares and doesn’t account for orphan blocks or uncles. Besides the ability to rent and lease hashrate for the new Equihash mining algorithm being used by Zcash (ZEC) NiceHash is also offering what they call Fast Zcash Cloud Mining Contracts. These are 24 hour mining contracts, but with a large amount of hashrate that you are getting for this short period of time. This is an interesting alternative to long term cloud mining contracts, but probably not the best one for the moment while we are still in the slow start of mining for Zcash. Still a nice alternative to have to long term contracts as well as to traditional renting of hashrate where the price may vary and here you have a fixed price for the day.

Following the startup information. we can see we are getting block information from the pool and that our graphics card(s) are detected and being assigned new work. After a little bit you shoudl start seeing shares accepted messages indicating your GPU has found a solution, submitted it the the pool and it was accepted.

Hey Charlie, Well, you should multiply the hashrate and electricity consumption and price tag of each GPU by 6, seeing as the Zodiac contains 6 GPUs. When you identify which exact card the Zodiac is using, you’ll be able to search those details but you’ll still need to account for there being 6 GPUs in the complete unit, so 6 times as much hashrate, cost and power consumption.   1. Similar to the Claymore miner (which does not currently support Zcash mining under Windows), the EWBF miner contains a 2% developer fee which can be turned off in the batch file. It is noted in the thread that disabling the fee will slightly reduce hashing power, similar to that same behavior with Claymore’s miner.
    The takeaway here is that the hashrate has followed the price explosion, which really took off in May and June 2017. What an amazing bull run! Up to over $400 USD from under $50 USD in a few short months.
    Disclosure: Mining metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 437,207 KH/s and using a ZEC – USD exchange rate of 1 ZEC = $ 243.51. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ZEC to USD conversion rate. Block reward is fixed at 10 ZEC and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The average block time used in the calculation is 150 seconds. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.
