Check out Mining Pool Hub and the MultiPoolMiner they link to on their site. You can do CPU mining with it. It will benchmark several different miner applications and automatically switch to mining the most profitable coin. You can also select to be paid BTC/ETH/etc.

Freedom Miner is a Zcash Miner beast and is defaulted to mine ZEC out of the box. However, changing currencies is a breeze before or after you receive the rig. During purchase simply provide us with your wallet addresses for the coins you wish to mine and we’ll send your rig pre-configured. Don’t have wallet addresses yet? No problem, we can ship your rig with our system defaults. Freedom Miner comes with a standard 3-prong US style power cord, but other standard power supply cables are compatible as well.

You should also go through the various guides that help learn how to install any of them wallet.  You can also use an exchange as a wallet but this is not recommended. Once you have your pool and wallet ready, you can start process of Zcash mining.

Now that you’ve got your hands dirty, just sit back and watch your zcash roll in! Be aware that you are mining to a transparent address (it starts with t). You can follow this guide to learn how to create a private and transparent wallet

Disclosure: Mining equipment metrics are calculated based on a network hash rate of 437,207 KH/s and using a ZEC – USD exchange rate of 1 ZEC = $ 243.51. These figures vary based on the total network hash rate and on the ZEC to USD conversion rate. Equipment cost can vary, block reward is fixed at 10 ZEC and future block reward reductions are not taken into account. The electricity price used in generating these metrics is $ 0.12 per kWh. Network hash rate varies over time, this is just an estimation based on current values.

For this test, we are using the EWBF 0.3.3b miner. We are comparing all of the GTX series GPUs in terms of mining performance as well as power consumption. For the NVIDIA GTX 1070, GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti we have both Founder’s Edition and overclocked variants. We did not test the GTX 1050 (2GB) and GTX 1060 (3GB) variants because they have significantly lower value for gaming and machine learning. We are assuming these GPUs are not dedicated miners and instead Zcash mining is something to utilize hardware while it is idle/ offset costs.

Choose and download an appropriate mining program that supports, a: your desired coin (Zcash), b: your GPU (GTX 1080), c: your operating system (Windows 10), and sometimes d: your pool (rarely but does occasionally happen).

Cold Storage   This is the process of moving your bitcoins to an offline wallet. The benefit of this is that no one can hack into your computer and steal your private keys if your computer is not connected to a network. Bitcoins will need to be brought back out of cold storage to be spent or transferred again.

AMD GPU miners were recently getting quite the boost thanks to Claymore’s Zcash miner on Windows, but now Windows users with Nvidia GPUs also got a nice boost in ZEC mining performance thanks to the release of the NiceHash EQM Zcash Nvidia Optimized Miner. It kind of doubles the performance that people were getting with the previous nheqminer from Nicehash, so now with a 6x GTX 1070 GPUs for example you can be all the way up to about 400 H/s. Do note that the miner currently supports only newer Nvidia GPUs and will apparently not work on anything lower than SM 5.0 capable GPUs – Maxwell or Pascal.

The answer? Difficulty. By automatically adjusting the computational difficulty of solving a block, the Zcash blockchain is able to maintain 2.5-minute intervals. You’ll notice that difficulty closely tracks hashrate, and it, too, has seen exponential growth this year:

Happy mining! Digital currencies are mine to a transparent address but it can be spent to shielded address or Z-address. This currency should be swept out of the transparent address in one transaction without any changes.  You should use the Z-sendmany command to send currencies from a transparent address to shielded address. You need 4GB RAM for this process. Zcash is a fork of Bitcoin protocol, a currency that brings some major privacy improvements to its clients. A unique zero-knowledge proving technology makes it possible to shield some transaction details from prying eyes, like the sender, receiver and transaction amount. The currency has a strong developers and investors team. 10% of all Zcash tokens to ever be mined are allocated for the employees and shareholders, which is a strong stimulus for them to take good care of the network and ensure its further development and propagation. For the nVidia software, we will be configuring the start.bat file. Simply right click to edit in notepad. Once opened, we can set the server address, and your Zcash public address. For this guide we will use the ‘us1-zcash.flypool.org’ server, but choose the server closest to you. Your Start.bat file should now be configured similar to mine as seen below. I was skeptical so I have tested myself. This miner is faster than dstm on my rigs by ~2%. The difference is small though. Here is the post I have in bitcointalk, with all screenshots and all my mining logs. Now with all that said, it also does not mean that a mining program cannot contain a virus, or that it isn’t a virus itself, so don’t just blindly trust it either. It is just that there is a valid reason for a high rate of false positives when it comes to such software. Just as a general rule, I would not load any mining software on a machine that contains a cryptocurrency wallet, or one that you do any type of financial work on. It is best to play it safe and keep your mining rigs separate from your important information, so a separate machine is best that is dedicated to mining if possible. ZCash is an anonymous cryptocurrency that uses zk-snarks to ensure that all the information regarding user transactions is safely encrypted, while still verifiable by miners that can ensure no double-spending has taken place using zero knowledge proofs. Install your GPU drivers as you normally would and reboot. You’ll know your GPU has been recognized correctly if you go to Device Manager (search it in Windows search bar) and you don’t see any warning marks on your GPUs. They should look like this: In this post I’ll break down the various steps required to mine the eagerly anticipated Zcash which is due to be released on the 28/10/16. In advance of the launch day we can prepare our machines to be ready right from the very start. Block   A block is a unit of the code the comprises the bockchain. It is the record of transactions that have occurred since the last block was created and a confirmation previous transactions. Each block links to the block before it, thus creating a full chain back to the original or “genesis” block. I don’t fully understand your question. Only the machine running the zcash4win program will do that actual mining, using its system resources. However, you can have a Zcash wallet on any machine and the mining rewards can be sent to that wallet. So you can have one machine doing the work of mining and any other machine to receive the Zcash which is mined. Hope that helps. If you are new in crypto like me and don't know where to start or what to do, check this article, it helped me find the good exchanges, save a lot in commission fees and showed me how to earn free coins (not many but a little of different coins, who knows, maybe one day they will be worth a lot) : Next, you’ll want to modify your system page file and manually set it to 16384 MB (16GB). Right click “This PC” from Windows Explorer and choose “Properties”. Click on “Advanced system settings”. On the Advanced tab, click “Settings” (under Performance). Zcash makes use of the Equihash algorithm – a Proof of Work algorithm that is unique to Zcash for now. It was invented by Alex Biryukov and Dmitry Khovratovich, and makes use of Wagner’s algorithm to provide the PoW that’s required for consensus in the Zcash Blockchain. TBMINER has no duty to provide the service of installing and debugging door to door. The accessories are provided by TBMINER, and the installing and debugging are responsible by the customers themselves after buying. The install video could get from our website, please click to view. Replace "eu" for your location, "ZEC-ADDRESS" for your zcash wallet address (transparent address), replace "-t 8" for the number of threads you want to use, and lastly replace "-og 0" for the number of GPUs you're using (as in -og 0 1 2 if you're using 3 GPUs) Claymore has updated his ZCash AMD GPU miner to version 12.5 adding support for the ZCash forks (altcoins using the same Equihash algorithm) as well as doing some more improvements to the miner. The latest version comes with improved fans management for latest drivers and Polaris cards, added shares-per-GPU statistics when “s” key is pressed, addend an option to use a password for remote monitoring as well as included EthMan v3.0 which supports passwords and email notifications. This is currently the preferred solution by most miners mining ZEC or other coins based on the Equihash algorithm for AMD OpenCL GPU mining rigs, the miner does not yet have support for Nvidia GPUs. Nvidia miners can go for some of the available options for CUDA mining such as the nheqminer, excavator or EWBF’s CUDA Zcash miner for mining coins using the Equihash algorithm on their hardware. Hash (Rate)   A hash is the output of a hash function and, as it relates to Bitcoin, the Hash Rate is the speed at which a compute is completing an operation in the Bitcoin code. A higher hash rate is better when mining as it increases your opportunity of finding the next block and receiving the reward. The blockchain allows the transfer of funds in a decentralized manner, while security and fraud-prevention are carried out by encryption, hence the name crypto, as cryptography is the discipline of encryption. Encrypting and verifying a transaction requires work. Computers which do this kind of work, which is basically solving a mathematical puzzle, get to write the next block in the chain, and are rewarded with coins for it – this is practically the mining operation. The more miners a network has, the stronger it is and the faster and more secure it is. To minimize the disruptions to your mining and settings, you may also want to disable Windows Updates. If you feel more secure leaving updates on, you can do so, but keep in mind there are frequent updates that will reboot your system and stop your mining.
