Oks thanks so its a high investment to make good money thats the way I see it… But what I did not understand is you said: multiply the outputs by 6… …Then multiply the outputs by 6… Why by 6? …. and If i did the math correctly, with the link you provided me with, well the total output income will be $180k an Year (Sure depending on the UNSTABLE MARKET of course) anyhow even getting around $10K it gets back the investment and some extra cash don’t you think? so my question is… is this real? and if so….… Read more »
I don’t fully understand your question. Only the machine running the zcash4win program will do that actual mining, using its system resources. However, you can have a Zcash wallet on any machine and the mining rewards can be sent to that wallet. So you can have one machine doing the work of mining and any other machine to receive the Zcash which is mined. Hope that helps.
You can download the claymore zcash miner and choose a version. You can download it, you should go for the latest version. Open the zip folder and extract the file and use it. Zcash mining can be a great way promotes the purchase of high end and new GPU. Zcash can be traded for BTC that can easily be sold for cash. So Zcash mining is a good way to fill your bank account indirectly.
Zcash also differs because it has a built-in privacy protocol called zk-SNARKS, which is designed to make it the leading privacy-based crypto in the market (competing with other privacy coins such as Dash and Monero).
Install your GPU drivers as you normally would and reboot. You’ll know your GPU has been recognized correctly if you go to Device Manager (search it in Windows search bar) and you don’t see any warning marks on your GPUs. They should look like this:
There are a lot of user-submitted crypto mining benchmarks out there. Our methodology is simple. We ran these systems 24×7 for 72 hours and averaged the last 12 hours. That is an important feature because NVIDIA Pascal GPUs will throttle under heat so the first 20 minutes of mining can be much faster than full heat-soak. We have a nvidia-docker mining container to simplify mining so we can deploy it on our cluster machines and provide consistency.
Cold Storage This is the process of moving your bitcoins to an offline wallet. The benefit of this is that no one can hack into your computer and steal your private keys if your computer is not connected to a network. Bitcoins will need to be brought back out of cold storage to be spent or transferred again.
Configure the mining software (usually via batch file) to point to your desired pool and mine to your wallet address, as well as any GPU specific options you may need (or want) to enable (if supported).
In 2009, Bitcoin was one of the first applications of the blockchain. Since the invention of money, the problem of centralization has always existed. Although it was temporarily solved in the era of the gold rush, when every ordinary man could mine gold and generate money, since then, banks and credit companies took control over the money, shifted over to working with credit, and practically cut off the connection to gold itself and created a monopoly on printing money. Bitcoin returned the possibility of generating money for everyone. It is no coincidence that the process of generating cryptocurrencies is called “Mining”.
Ah, I see. Malware seem to be a huge problem on this forum. I took a look for a description to setup a VM quickly. It seems it not that easy. PCI/GPU-Passthrough seems to be very hardware dependent – not that easy to setup. I’ve really no good idea how to provide security for you, without opening the source. Well I guess someone has to try it out and report. Sry, but I have no better ideas for this.
The biggest limitation of the official Zcash software is that it only takes advantage of your CPU to mine. If you have decided to build a dedicated GPU rig for mining the basic software will not be enough, you will need to decide on software that has been optimized to take advantage of your GPU’s.
Incentivizing the creation of open source miners will enable a wider community to mine for Zcash coins and take ownership of the network as a public good. While we expect a full range in size of Zcash miners to exist, the more individuals who run a miner (whether GPU or CPU) the stronger the network.
Hello zcasher, I would like to mine zcash for fun (and learn) with my laptop’s CPU. I how could do it? Whats software do you suggest (Windows) Since now I have tried to mine Monero using Claymore’s CryptoNote CPU -where the developer ask for a 2.5% –
In the beginning Bitcoin network transactions where secured by individual hobbyist miners. With the introduction of ASIC hardware security, functionality has been disproportionately concentrated into a handful of corporations making it less secure.
This brief guide is focused on how to mine Zcash with Nvidia GPUs with either the Windows or Linux operating system. Zcash (ZEC), which utilizes the Equihash algorithm, has lingered near the top of the charts for Nvidia mining profits. It’s also traded on multiple exchanges making it easy to exchange for other cryptocurrencies.
Pro tip: check out the following GPUs: Nvidia’s GTX 1060-6GB/1070/1080 Series; AMD’s RX 470/480, RX 570/580, R9 Series, or HD 7990/7950 (if used cards are available, try to get them from a gamer instead of a miner, with a warranty if possible). As with everything, do your own due diligence to evaluate GPUs based on their hashrates, power requirements, availability, and price.
Not everyone has access to a computer, however, and not everyone has the time, knowledge or patience to start mining Zcash on their own, especially since there is no Graphic User Interface Miner available yet. If you want to mine on your own computer, but need a little push to do so, you’re in the right place. But if you’re looking to profit from Zcash mining with no effort at all, this guide will do the trick.
2. All sales are final. No refunds will be granted. Defective miners can be repaired for free if they fall under the Asic Miner Market warranty policy. After the warranty period, machines can be repaired at the cost of parts and labor.

By default the EWBF miner should extract to a folder named “Zec miner 0.3.3b” unless you changed it. I would recommend placing this folder somewhere easy to get to, such as the root of your C drive, your Desktop, or somewhere you can easily locate it. For this guide I extracted it to: “C:\Zec miner 0.3.3b“. Open up the Zec miner 0.3.3b folder and you should see files similar those those below:
Overall, we are seeing payback periods in the 3-5 month range for all NVIDIA GPUs excluding power and cooling costs. Given the volatility of the markets, expect this to have wild swings. For the STH readers who have machine learning clusters that may have periods of downtime, our nvidia-docker miner can help you earn some of your money back with mining.
Here is a quick list of the latest CPU and GPU miners available for mining the Zcash (ZEC) that uses the Equihash algorithm used by the coin. Since most pools and miners are based on Stratum mining support you should be able to use them on almost all mining pools with support for ZEC. What you should be looking for is what works best on your hardware in terms of stability and what provides you with the optimal hashrate in order for you to maximize your profit. CPU mining is still viable as GPU miners are yet to be further optimized to be able to provide significantly higher hashrates, though you should know that the days of the CPU mining of ZEC are probably numbered.
I’m not sure about your version of Windows but in mine, Task Manager does not display any info on the status of the graphics card. All I see is the performance of my CPU cores, memory and networking throughput.
