I really like using EthOS over simple mining cause you can actually somewhat use LXDE as an operating system. The problem with EthOS is the limited number of mining programs you can run and the limited amount of packages you can install (instead of apt-get you have to use apt-get-ubuntu and about 90% of packages won’t download or install, and if they do you might have broken EthOS.)

The AM200 Ethereum Miner has been in development for a number of months with the goal of delivering a high quality solution suitable for almost any environment. Proper cooling, and web based management of the miner provide for ease of use not seen with many Ethereum Miners to date,

I have a lowly GTX 1060 and only started mining with it two days ago. I used ewbf first because it was listed first on miningpoolhub. After playing with it some, it would peak for me about 291 h/s. The average was closer to 288. I could push it to 300, but only by risking arrest for GPU abuse. I switched to dstm last night and am averaging 314 h/s. Even with the fee, I’m better off. Your mileage may vary.

I think I’m ready to start building a rig operating system from a stock OS. I’ll be using lubuntu (my pers fav). MIning rigs make the best home computers I have my smallest rig ( 5 x 1070 Founder edition) in my living room. I hope I get everything running smoothly so I can go ham on packages and running nodes.

Interesting blog. I was about to post a similair post. Buy and hold for the upcoming 3 years and the blockchain market will find it’s way. I was researching a way to do better investment analysis on the current cryptos. I was wondering if anyone of you uses: https://www.coincheckup.com Since I use this site I make so much less basic investment mistakes.

–pass z  (the actual value of this parameter is usually ignored by pools but oftentimes required by either the pool, mining program, or both. Can be set to something like “X” or “Z” unless your pool requires a specific password).

Although Zcash is already a mature coin, it is still not coming close to the load and size of Bitcoin’s and Ethereum’s chains, so, in most cases, mining it is more profitable. In 2016 when Zcash came into the world, it was very profitable to mine it. Due to the fact that there were only 12 Zcash coins in circulation, the price went up to the astronomical price of 3000 Bitcoins for one Zcash coin!

Welcome to Asic Miner Market, the most advanced cryptocurrency mining, hash hardware service. We sell Asic GPU, Coin, Hash, ASIC Mining hardware, and solutions. Why bother with risky mining contracts or renting when you can buy hashing power directly? Asic Miner Market brings more sense to the market.

Transaction Fees   This is a small, optional fee attached to a Bitcoin transfer. Upon the completion of all 21 million bitcoins being created, these fees will provide the reward to encourage miner to continue mining and verifying the network transactions.

4. For all repairs or RMA, within warranty or not, customer must return the defective parts at his/her own expense after opening a support ticket and troubleshooting with Asic Miner Market instructions.

Zcash is a fork of Bitcoin protocol, a currency that brings some major privacy improvements to its clients. A unique zero-knowledge proving technology makes it possible to shield some transaction details from prying eyes, like the sender, receiver and transaction amount. The currency has a strong developers and investors team. 10% of all Zcash tokens to ever be mined are allocated for the employees and shareholders, which is a strong stimulus for them to take good care of the network and ensure its further development and propagation.

The dstm’s ZCash Nvidia miner has been available for a while and we’ve been keeping a track, but it was only for Linux operating systems – not anymore. With the latest version 0.5.2 the miner is also released for Windows in a 64-bit binary and not anymore available only for Linux miners. The miner is closed source one and comes with a 2% developer fee included. It support Nvidia-based GPUs with Compute Capability 5.0 or later, meaning it is for Maxwell or the newer Pascal video cards. There is support available for stratum as well as for NiceHash’s extranonce, so it can be used there as well without problems for selling Equihash hashrate.

A: You can run the miner like all previous versions with command line arguments, in this case the config file will be ignored. If you sets the –config argument, the specified config file will be used, all other command line arguments will be ignored. If you run a miner without command line arguments, the miner will try to use the default config file miner.cfg.

**link removed** As per your instructions (both on the printed and video instructions) when I went to “mega” (see above) and clicked, it brought me a list of about 15 items, each item that said “Zec Miner” with different dates on it. (I have a screen shot of the list but no where to upload it.) I picked the most recent date, which was the last item on the list, When I unpacked it to my desktop it still said “Zec Miner.” I went back an did a search for “EWBF ZEc Miner” on that same forum page with no… Read more »

Claymore’s Zcash (ZEC) AMD miner has been updated a couple of times already since the release of the initial version from some days ago. The number of optimizations and hashrate improvements with pretty much each major update has been tremendous, bringing back to life many of the old AMD Radeon GPUs such as 7950/7970 or the 280X, some of the most popular mining video cards for the last few years. The latest release, already a major version 6 brought more fixes and optimizations in terms of performance. As one would expect Nvidia is left behind once more, even though there were some signs that recently it was starting to catch up to the levels of performance of AMD GPUs, it is now yet again significantly slower. So owners of Nvidia-based mining rigs might want to switch to some other alternative for mining at the moment after the latest boosts from Claymore. Do have in mind however that Claymore’s Zcash miner does come with a 2.5% dev fee, below is a list of major changes and updates of the miner after the initial release:

In order to mine using this guide, there are two things that you’ll need. The first is a wallet to store your funds. There are currently multiple GUI wallets available and you can compare them here. You can also use this guide to learn how to install one of them on Linux. It is also possible to use an exchange as a wallet but we do not recommend it.

* The nheqminer is available with hardcoded pools from nicehash, suprnova and other mining pools supporting Zcash, so make sure you download the correct version for the pool you are going to be mining at.

If you have a Linux CUDA compute machine available we highly recommend using nvidia-docker. Installing different CUDA versions for Zcash mining and deep learning frameworks and managing versions can be painful. Using nvidia-docker you do not have to worry about that.
